Part I — The Voice in the Kitchen Daniel Miller was a rather ordinary man. He was forty-two, worked as a supervisor at a distribution company, and lived with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Jake and Emily, in a two-story house on the outskirts of Minneapolis.
